My Sponsor Letter for Malawi

Dear Friends and Family,

God has called me to serve in Malawi, Africa for two months.  I will be working with the Malawi Yesu Ministries, which means Malawi for Jesus.  I encourage you to look on the ministry’s website at www.malawimontessoriproject.org. 

               I know that, without a doubt, God’s purpose for me is to be a missionary doctor someday and minister to children.  I have always felt like I have been “stuck waiting” to do God’s global missionary work until I could become a doctor and am able to legitimately help.  I realized that God has big plans for me now, though I have not been through medical school.  God is not limited by time or my schooling.  I want to do God’s work in the mission field and share His love with children.

“’For I know the plans I have you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11

 I love seeing God’s purpose and plan come together! God had me become a certified medical assistant last year so that I may use my medical knowledge and skills to share God’s message in Malawi.  I will be working at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital with a team partnered with the hospital.  God knows that I have always had a heart for working in a pediatric department so I can minister medically and spiritually to sick children.  On this trip, I will specifically be working in the pediatric wards.  Is God amazing or what?!  There are 5 pediatric wards and often the patient to nurse ratio is 50 to 1.  While I am there, the team and I will be caring for patients and training nurses and assistants in basic patient care.   

2 Corinthians 12:4-6 says, “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.”

God has called us to be a part of reaching out to the poor and lost with the spiritual gifts he has given us.  I am asking you to please consider supporting me.  I need support in prayer and finances.  I would like your prayer support because I know God is going to do some incredible things in my life, as well as the lives of the Malawian people!  I would also appreciate financial support.  I need about $4,000 for the whole trip, which includes airfare, rent, food, and other necessary expenses.  I will be creating a blog to keep everyone posted on what God is currently doing in my life and the lives of those around me.  I will also be sending my sponsors email updates.  Every prayer and gift, not only means so much to me but it is for God’s bigger plan for what He is doing in Malawi.  Please consider praying and asking God how you can be a part.
